Who is responsible
This notice describes the current build of Contacara. It remains a pre-launch draft until the legal operator/controller name, address, country and actual hosting and mail-provider particulars are supplied. The contact address configured for the project is contact@contacara.com. A brand and email address alone do not complete the operator information.
Text and files you analyse
Counting, case conversion and duplicate removal run in your browser. The application does not send the pasted text or imported file to an analysis endpoint. Files are read locally using the bundled readers. This does not mean that visiting the website is anonymous: the hosting network receives the requests needed to deliver pages, scripts and images, including ordinary connection information such as an IP address. Provider logs and retention need to match the account configuration before launch.
Storage on your device
The application uses the session key contatore-session for the working draft and the local keys contatore-remember and contatore-draft for the optional remembered draft. They can contain your text and your save preference. Session storage follows the browser’s session behaviour; local storage has no automatic project expiry. Disabling the remember option removes the stored local draft. The delete control removes these project keys in this browser, without claiming to erase browser backups, downloads or copies in another application.
Messages and exports
The contact form prepares a message locally. The email link passes its subject and body to the email application you choose; sending it uses that application and its provider. Copying or downloading a draft creates another copy under your control. Count reports do not automatically contain the original text, but a separate text export does. Check what you include before sharing either file. Do not send passwords, identity documents or confidential source text merely to report a counting difference.
Rights and changes to the service
Where applicable, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, or object to processing. You can withdraw consent for consent-based processing and complain to a competent data protection authority. Rights depend on the processing and legal basis. The controller particulars, legal basis for correspondence, actual recipients, retention and any international transfer arrangements must be completed for the chosen operator and providers. The public build includes Google AdSense as explained below. Further analytics services or a server-side form would require an updated notice and the applicable choices before activation.
Separate local analysis from a website visit
Your editor content and selected files follow the local analysis path described above. Loading the website follows another path: your browser requests the pages and assets from the hosting service. Contact correspondence follows a third path if you choose to send an email. These flows have different recipients and retention arrangements. The public notice must identify the actual controller and contracted providers before launch; it cannot infer their roles, locations or log periods from the Contacara brand or from this application’s source code.
Control copies on a shared device
Leave Remember on this device off when you do not want a persistent local draft. The session draft still supports movement between tool pages in the current browser session. Turning Remember off removes the remembered text but does not recall a report or text file already downloaded. Use the privacy or cookie page’s local-data deletion control for the project keys and check the browser’s site-data settings when needed. Another open tab can retain its own in-memory text, so close or clear it separately.
Make a request without sending unnecessary material
For a privacy enquiry, describe which interaction is involved, such as a contact email or an optional saved draft. Include enough information to locate correspondence, but do not send identity documents or a full private document by default. The response and any proportionate identity check depend on the actual controller and the request. Statutory rights, exceptions and response duties remain applicable where the relevant law requires them. This draft does not replace the missing operator-specific information with a blanket claim of GDPR compliance.
