What this project helps you check
Contacara provides browser-based tools for counting words and characters, finding repeated expressions, changing case, removing duplicate lines and estimating reading time. The aim is a result you can trace back to the supplied text and the chosen rule. A total without its scope can be misleading, so the tools keep relevant labels, examples and limitations close to the controls.
Languages are separate experiences
English, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and French have their own URLs and page copy. The language setting also controls number formatting, case operations, sentence segmentation and the list of common words used in the frequency view. It does not translate your draft. Italian cartella and Gulpease pages remain specific to that language rather than being renamed as universal measures.
What the project does not claim
We do not promise a search ranking, a universal word-count standard, a guaranteed speaking duration or native application testing that has not been performed. The guides distinguish documented commands, arithmetic examples and observations from our own tools. The legal operator’s identity and provider particulars still need to be completed before public launch; the brand name alone does not supply those details.
Choose a tool for the question you have
Use the character counter when a field specifies a maximum number of characters, and the word counter when the requirement names words. The frequency tool helps locate repeated terms; its percentage needs the denominator shown beside it. Before a transformation, keep your original. Compare the result after case conversion or duplicate removal, because those tools intentionally change the text. If the requirement comes from a publisher, teacher or receiving form, keep that instruction alongside the result rather than assuming all counters implement the same rule.
Check an example before processing a document
A short known sample makes a disagreement easier to diagnose. Café! contains five visible characters, four letters and six UTF-8 bytes. Those are compatible results for different units. For a whole document, first check whether the extracted text includes the passages you need. A correct count of an incomplete import still omits material. The guides explain specific tasks in Word, Excel, Google Docs and other editors, while separating those products’ behaviour from this counter’s conventions.
Keep the result useful outside the website
The downloadable count report records the displayed totals and relevant calculation settings without automatically including the original draft. A text download is a separate file that does contain the editor text. Give a recipient the unit and scope together with the number: body text only, for example, is different from a submission including notes. To report a problem, provide the page URL and a small non-confidential example. The contact page explains how to prepare that report.
